The BBC recently re-posted this documentary onto I-Player, as a fitting commemoration of the life and work of this rather remarkable artist Brian Clarke. He died recently on the 1st July 2025. He was a painter, architect and stained glass artist who pioneered modern stained glass that didn't use lead. It is fabulously stunning work. Clarke was a very outspoken man, one very clear and uncompromising about his creative muse. He upset a good many people, but charmed equally as many. This is a rather wonderful documentary that gives you a real sense of his artistic process and of him as a man. You end up in quiet admiration for all he has achieved in a very productive life.
