2026 PLAYLIST - No 24 - The Ribbon Factory by Madra Salach

Later...The Ribbon Factory by Madra Salach

Now, anyone who watches Jules Holland's Later... will know it can be a mixed bag of familiar old codgers and new bands, both the interesting and the mediocre. When a band truly nails it live on TV it does rather stand out as rather special. Getdown Services did this earlier in the year. This week it was the Irish band Madra Salach performing their song The Ribbon Factory. Their mix of folk with an indie punk sensibility is impressively punchy and definitely striking. It has instantly catapulted this track to the top of my daily playlist. Having since listened to other stuff by them on the internet, it's clear the band is on an upward curve both creatively and in popularity. With an album due out in the early weeks of 2027. Can't wait to hear it.
