The Definitive Map by Getdown Services
Their second album, Massive Champion, felt a slightly disappointing mix of the truly brilliant and the likeable but nonetheless retreading of its own old tropes. But this one track The Definitive Map, I think is ( Radiator aside ) the highpoint of it, and really is them at their finest musically. Lyrically it's all a tad oblique. But appears to be about some sort of boundary dispute, that gets out of hand and spills over into their workplace. That appears to be an abattoir !
I'm playing potluck in pigsties with an overactive thyroidFour times a week, getting jumped on by a big lad
Always overdo it with the harsh interrogation
Wanting full names and pictures of my friends and their locations
Tell your mum it's a public right of way, look it up
I don't care if the path goes through your house
I'll wipe my feet on your dad's back
Trespass
Trespass
Trespass
Just trespass
And now I'm in the battery farm with all the chickens
And we're all fucking sick of it
Bob Dylan went electric, you went fucking shit
Get your livestock out my face
Get your livestock out my face
Get your livestock out my face
Get your livestock out my face
Trespass
Trespass
Trespass
Just trespass
Trespass
Trespass
Trespass
Just trespass
And now I'm in the battery farm with all the chickens
And we're all fucking sick of it
Bob Dylan went electric, you went fucking shit
You fucking bastard
You fucking bastard, huh
You fucking bastard
You fucking bastard
You fucking bastard, twat
You fucking bastard
Your sister's crying (Ah)
You fucking bastard*
And we're all fucking sick of it
Bob Dylan went electric, you went fucking shit
You fucking bastard
You fucking bastard, huh
You fucking bastard
You fucking bastard
You fucking bastard, twat
You fucking bastard
Your sister's crying (Ah)
You fucking bastard*
